Our Kids in the City program celebrates what's special about Ipswich for families, and happens during peak holiday seasons. During the Kids in the City program we bring together all our exceptional activities and attractions in Ipswich Central and deliver a Calendar of options which provide for the perfect family day out! Best of all, many activities are FREE!

I wish I lived in Wonderland - Ipswich Art Gallery

I wish I lived in Wonderland is a unique artwork, especially for kids. Artist Rose Skinner will use coloured sugar, candy, toys and household furniture to create a magical world that has to be seen to be believed! From 27 June until 26 July see Rose create Wonderland and help make Wonderland grow by creating items to add to the artwork! Wonderland remains on display until 1 November 2009. Cost: FREE. 2009 Enviroplan Photographic Competition

Frog-web It's time to pick up your cameras and get clicking for the Enviroplan Photographic Competition for 2009. School students, amateur photographers and professionals are invited to take part in this challenging and exciting photographic experience. The competition, closes on 4 September 2009, which allows entrants up to two seasons (Winter and Spring) to capture images within the Ipswich region and be in the running to win prizes valued up to $3000. Over the years, the Enviroplan Photographic Competition has grown in stature and popularity. The competition provides an opportunity to increase the community's awareness of Ipswich's unique environment, as well as promote the purpose and function of the Ipswich Enviroplan.
