Ipswich actually delivers
You'll be hard pressed to find a city that celebrates family and the joys of being young better than Ipswich and its city heart - Ipswich Central - is where you'll see this truly reflected. Here, within four square walkable kilometres, you encounter our most popular and beautiful Queen's Park. Set amongst 22+ hectares of undulating hills and pretty parkland, Queens Park is the perfect ingredient for playtime, with its state-of-the-art children's playground, Ipswich Nature Centre and Nerima Gardens. Bring a picnic lunch and sit under one of the beautiful Jacaranda trees or have lunch at Queens Park Café, which is conveniently located adjacent to the playground.

Learning through play.

Ipswich Art Gallery is considered one of the best regional art galleries in Australia. Why? It was the first to offer a dedicated Children's Gallery - Lotties' Place - with free programs year-round. Buzzy Bees Play Café is especially designed to allow parents the opportunity to enjoy our fine food and relax whilst their children enjoy our total soft play environment. Combined with their excellent Kindergym program and fantastic birthday party packages Buzzy Bees is the place to be for quality children's play. Ipswich Events Corporation runs workshops in the Ipswich City Mall called "Busy Bees". The club meets every school holidays for FREE fun and craft.

All aboard!

Crowned Australia's best heritage and cultural tourism attraction at the 2008 Australian Tourism Awards, the Workshops Rail Museum, is an absolute must-visit for children, families and of course train enthusiasts.

Putting on an act.
